    Cleaning or Lack Thereof?

No soap and water. in fact no soap or water. In over five years no rust or any signs of corrosion. In fact I never clean them at all other than an occasional wipe down with a slightly oily cloth and they still look like new. Except for an older Lyman that I used to actually shoot. That one kinda...

    Did I do something Stupid??

I can relate. I restored/rebuilt a 65 Mustang. I learned to call my screwups "resto-mods". I spent 3 years working on it and when it was pretty much done (their never really done) I was driving it to a get together and got t-boned by a guy and driven into a fireplug =Totaled.

    Aging fake ivory grips ??

I've got a Uberti 51 Navy London with fake ivory from Bar S Grips in Washington state that look pretty good to me. They can be ordered with various degrees of aging (yellowing) and also have growth rings. Don't know what the material is but Bar S calls it "Tru Ivory" fitting them to your...

1851 Colt Navy with Ivory grips

These are not genuine ivory but look pretty close. You can select the aging to match your pistol. They show the grain like genuine Ivory. They're made by Bar S Grips and called Tru Ivory. You send them your pistol and they custom fit them included in the price.
