    Wheel weight lead question

Yes. Another one but I haven't been able to find an answer to my question. From what I have read, wheel weights lead is harder than pure lead and might be a couple thousandths oversized (instead of being .440, it might be .443) my question is, what does a harder lead do to the bore that makes...

    Wheel weight lead in smoothbore

I have a large supply of lead I melted down from wheel weights. Would this lead be fine for a smoothbore for target shooting? I know it's not favorable for rifled barrels because it's harder than pure lead but thought it would work for smoothbores. I thought about even trying my hand at making...

    Scope mount hole fix

Could I do this method using the correct size screw? Prep area the same way but leave screw stick out a little bit, then when solder is heated and melts, screw in the screw tight and let cool.

    Thompson Center Percussion rifle

Are the barrels interchangeable on the same rifle? As in if I had a .50 caliber barrel, can I put it on a 54 caliber stock?

When you say coat the screw, do you mean to use the paste form of silver bearing solder?

    Scope mount hole fix

You would not as in just put screws in the holes? The holes were already drilled and tapped by a previous owner so I'm just trying to come up with a safe fix.

    Scope mount hole fix

I was recently given a TC New Englander that the previous owner drilled for scope mounts. The problem is they drilled all of the way through the top of the barrel. My question is, would it be safe if I installed a screw with loctite the same thickness as the barrel where it didn't stick out the...

Upgrade Jukar kit gun or buy different rifle?

I tried this and it did seem to help with the trigger. I think I'm gonna stick with what I have and save up for down the road. My wife has already given me the ok to buy a nice rifle so I'm ahead of the ball game in that aspect. 😆 On another note, my pan seems to be slightly bowl shaped in...

    Thompson Center Percussion rifle

I need some help identifying this Thompson Center rifle. It doesn't have a model name on it. Also, would cutting and putting a bow tie joint fix the Crack in the stock or is the stock junked? The crack does go all the way through.

Upgrade Jukar kit gun or buy different rifle?

I have an older .45 cal jukar kentucky rifle. The rifle is the same as the newer traditions. I was thinking of doing some upgrades such as an L and R lock and get a set of double triggers. If I did this, I would have roughly $425 total invested in the rifle which is what I have seen people...
