    Lyman Great Plains

    You may have the more modern coil main spring. I found mine wouldn’t reliably ignite my caps. L&R makes a replacement with a strong V main spring that fits easily with a little wood removal inside the lock inlet. Fires every time. Lock available through TOTW.

    Completed a bison leather holster for a recently acquired Rogers and Spencer, Euroarms stainless engraved revolver. Broke my hand in November, but it functioned well for the leather work.

    Left handed flintlock question

    You can find left handed flintlocks on online auctions from time to time. I got this for a left handed friend a year ago on an icollector auction in Canada for a bit over $500 Canadian. Looks like we have another keen flintlock shooter. 36 cal. john.k.Taylor January 22 2023
