Can you ship a percussion Sharps through the USPS?

I shipped a Shiloh percussion carbine a while back. It arrived damaged but they didn't give me any lip about an ffl when I first sent it. I can't remember whether it was UPS or Fedex

    Lefty shooter using right-handed flintlock??

You literally will not notice the difference. I am a lefty and I got rid of my left handed flintlock a while ago. All of my guns are right handed now...When I had the lefty gun my right handed brother shot it all the time without noticing anything. Just to show it works both ways lol. It is so...

FOR SALE 1865 Enfield for sale

Welcome to the forum! In order to sell something you need to post a picture of the product that also has your username/todays date written on a piece of paper in the same picture. The mods will get upset. It would also help you sell it if you know the company. Larry

    .32 caliber rifle

Thanks all! I am excited to work up a load. It will be fun to away and only use a sliver of powder.

    Joining the club.

Welcome! You did nicely with the Uberti. Midway seems to have very nice prices for a lot of stuff from time to time. I never realized they have a birthday discount.

    2023 Fall Squirrel Season...........

Anybody here hunting squirrels in the Northeast/New England? I grew up spending time on my family farm in S. Carolina and squirrel hunting was a childhood staple. It seems that many of my New England countrymen have forgotten what a fine meal a couple of juicy greys can be.

    Kibler's next gun?

Jim now offers some very nice CNC carving for the wood runner. I wonder (hope) if this will be an option on the smoothbore. I know it isn't supposed to be representative of a really fancy "rich man's" fowler but he also mentioned that it certainly isn't a "low end" trade gun. I think some...

    left hand vrs right hand

Absolutely not needed. I am a lefty that shoots only right handed locks. My first gun (that I no longer own) was a lefty and I literally cannot tell the difference. You don't get any sparks in your face. My (righty) brother never noticed anything when shooting my left handed lock.

    Carbines

I think carabine is the French word for rifle.

    Carbines

Not to jack the thread with another question, but how did they carry these carbines on horseback? Was it a saddle ring type thing or a shoulder strap? I have always wondered. Especially dragoons.

    .32 caliber rifle

I have been using mink oil from Track for patch lube but I am wondering if that will gob up a lot in such a tight bore. I am going to play around.

    .32 caliber rifle

Hello all I hope all is well. A few days ago a close family friend gifted me a beautiful .32 longrifle out of the blue. He is aging and said he is having trouble holding it up and would rather see it used. Such a meaningful gift from a wonderful family friend. Anyway, I have zero experience with...

    Wood grade 5

After I was done with it someone would think I had used a chainsaw for the inletting and a tomahawk for the carving.

    Traditions

Broke my guns thoroughly down for the first time in a while. Not a speck of anything bad. Clean as a whistle. I just like to do it every 5-6 weeks if it is that long between sessions. Probably overkill but with air conditioning and humidity, 3-4 minutes for the gun every month or so gives insurance.
