    OK, I will definitely check out those suppliers for the spring. Thank you so much for the info. I do believe both are from the 70's sometime. The hole on the pistol does not go through to both sides so that makes sense now. I have always wondered about that. Thanks again!

    Thank you so much for your reply! OK that makes sense for the pistol. The stamping on the rifle lock just says "Made in Spain". I have been trying to narrow down by looking at old kits etc. as well. The rifle looks the closest to a CVA Hawken of what I've found on Deer Creek but like you said...
