SOLD 50 cal Custom Hawken “Kit Carson Style”

If you’ll look at the original that Kit Carson had which you can probably find pictures of, mine apparently was modeled after it. Same kind of furniture. I just called it a Kit Carson model because it looked like it.

SOLD 50 cal Custom Hawken “Kit Carson Style”

Dry all….I appreciate your input. I never have heard of the gun weight of a Hawken type gun being an issue unless it was one of the super heavy bench-shooting target rifles. I would say this would be of a weight that one would expect from this type of rifle. They are stout rifles unlike a Fowler...

SOLD 50 cal Custom Hawken “Kit Carson Style”

Where are you located? If you’re not too far away from Oklahoma I’ll include free shipping. If you’re far east or west, let’s say east past Tennessee or so I probably better add around $15 on to the shipping. That goes the same for the west past the Rockies. Does that sound reasonable? Shipping...

SOLD 50 cal Custom Hawken “Kit Carson Style”

I don’t have a scale to weigh it on. But I’ve had enough experience with the weight of shotguns to have a pretty good idea what this rifle weighs. If you’ve had experience with muzzleloading guns don’t you think you can make a pretty good educated guess about a guns weight?

Not exactly sure but I’m guessing around 9lbs.

SOLD 50 cal Custom Hawken “Kit Carson Style”

I’m putting up my custom Kit Carson style 50cal Hawken rifle. Walnut stock, 35inch browned 1inch wide (flat across to flat) Douglas barrel, good rifling, stock has a few handling marks and imperfections from normal use. No wood cracks. Browning shows some wear but in my opinion shows character...

CLOSED Large Hand Forged Bowie WOW!

That’s what I was trying to describe above. In the forging process somehow the colors were produced. Reminds me of case coloring.

CLOSED Large Hand Forged Bowie WOW!

Ok, I have here an unbelievably beautiful yet mean Bowie knife that was hand forged by a gentleman in North Carolina. The blade is carbon steel and after the forging process looks like it’s case colored. I don’t know if that’s the exact case or not but the color you see is not artificially...
