    Wire bolt/trigger spring

And I said a lawsuit is attached to every bullet you launch that doesn't go where you wanted it to. Yeah, I know full well what sells and why. People who harp on magazine capacity over skill.......like you.

    Wire bolt/trigger spring

That's comical. I don't live in fantasyland. Why stop there, why not 150? Why not a plate carrier, five mags, a ballistic helmet and NOD's? Because it's impractical, unless you're a mental case. The FACT is that defensive shootings are an extremely rare occurrence. The need for 14-18rds is rarer...

    Wire bolt/trigger spring

Oh, so the running gunfight with a gang scenario. Got it.

    Wire bolt/trigger spring

If you need 14-18 shots for a single threat, you need a hell of a lot more training. Remember, every bullet that leaves your gun is a lawsuit waiting to happen, you own it, wherever it lands.

    Wire bolt/trigger spring

What do you mean by "match"? Unless the rules have changed, only hits count and your ability to make a hit is entirely dependent on YOUR "ability" to make a hit. The rapidity with which you can miss is irrelevant. Is there some rule that one must trade shot for shot with a gang banger, carjacker...

Do you aim or point and shoot instinctively?

It tends to rattle most folks. ;)

Do you aim or point and shoot instinctively?

It depends on the situation and the range. I've done a lot of point shooting and thoroughly enjoy it. At one point tens of thousands of rounds a year. Which is how much it takes to get good at it. I can guarantee you that they were not doing that in the 1800's. Few did it until the mid-late 20th...

Advertised case hardening on BP revolvers

I know it was used on a lot of other guns but I've always associated it with cheap single shot shotguns.

Advertised case hardening on BP revolvers

Cyanide is used in real case hardening, not the fake stuff.

Advertised case hardening on BP revolvers

Unless I'm mistaken, the point LRB is making is that an alloy like steel is just a mixture of elemental atoms, in this case iron and carbon. They are not bonded at the atomic level to form new molecules.

    Holsters for Walker revolvers

No problem. I did take a break but only re-opened the store about two weeks ago. Right now I'm working on a rawhide sheath and a holster for myself. ;)

    Is This Worth It?

This was years before all that. Whatever dude. Just pointing out the difference. Though I doubt most folks are able to nitre blue a revolver barrel.

    Is This Worth It?

It's a specific Lonesome Dove version of the Walker.

I have to wonder how places like that stay in business.

    Is This Worth It?

CTD is no worse than the local pawn shop I just came from.

    Is This Worth It?

As already mentioned, it's all over Gunbroker for $650.

    Is This Worth It?

It's a Walker. It was converted to cartridges for the movie so they could fire blanks out of it. The musem has it incorrectly labeled Dragoon. Not the first time. The NRA museum had Tom Selleck's guns mismarked too.

    Is This Worth It?

Worth pointing out that the Lonesome Dove version is more expensive than the standard model. As Hawk posted, they're as low as ~$650 on Gunbroker right now. CTD used to be cheap. I bought ammo from them years ago. Then during the Sandy Hook-induced shortage, they went nuts and never came back.

    Dixi Gun Works Disappoints.

Been buying from DGW and going to their store once a year for about 17yrs. Always a pleasant experience and no complaints. Maybe some folks should stick to Walmart.
