I think I did a pretty good job fitting the buttplate and toe plate. It’s only rough finished I stil have to sand and polish it.

Which way do the barrel pins come out? I’m not sure if these are straight or tapered pins. I did a lot of research and can’t find anything, the manual doesn’t even state which way there supposed to go.

Also there is a ridge along the stock going vertical, is this too be completely sanded out aswell?

How should I blend in the toe plate? Also it appears that the angled corner on the brass sticks out further than the wood.

Am I suppose to sand away thoes grooves that are in front of and behind the lock?

Thanks fellas for all the opinions, I would prefer 3F but I can’t find it in my area, or even Pyrodex P either. Only my LGS has 2F or 4F at 40.00 a pound. Last time I bought powder it came in a metal can and was 14.99 a pound. I must have forgotten to mention that my rifle is a percussion.

Would measuring 2F and 3F by volume be the same? I never have used 3F before so I don’t know if it would take more 2F to equal the same charge as 3F being that 2F has a larger granulation.
