54 Cal buffalo hunt accuracy issues

I would think a 54 ball would kill just fine with 60-70gr loads. Especially if within 50 yards.

    Renegade Round Ball question.

I get 2" using a benched rifle rest with .530 balls, .015 patches prelubed with wonderlube usinf 70gr GOEX 3F. Mine is a .54 percussion. I can only do 4" or so freehand.

Davis replacement trigger set for Hawkins style rifles

I know they sure are nice compared to the factory investarm triggers. I do not remember a distinct difference when it comes to the click. From memory cocking the hammer is louder.

    Ball size question.

Probably a .530 bit only you can determine that for sure by trying different ball sizes and patches.

    NEW T/C Hawkens!

They do not market to the same buyer. One is a production percussion rifle and the other a kit to make a flintlock rifle. There are many on here that have lots of time and are good to fine craftsmen. Others have no time and are all thumbs.

    .54 Cal. Nevada Antelope

Nice to see the results of a real antelope hunt. If you watch the shows on the TV they make you think you cannot get within 300 yards of an antelope.
