reclaiming lead from car and motorcycle batteries

I'm not going to try and rack my 70 year old brain, but I read several years ago on the composition of the plates used in batteries. I suggest googling it. They do not make suitable bullets, and then there is the hazard risk. This is not a "hold my beer and watch this". Case closed!

reclaiming lead from car and motorcycle batteries

I can't tell the composition of the lead in batteries, but I can assure you it's not pure lead. Throw whatever you cast away!

It's been a long time since I drove though Idaho, but it's full of interesting places. I've been to the Crater's of the Moon, State Park, and it really looked like I was there!

    Older Goex black powder

I have few pounds of Goex that were made in the middle 1970's. They still good to go. That's from personal experience. I have read that powder made during the Civil war was proven to go boom.

    Gluing leather to flint

Several of my flints are beveled on both ends and can be turned around to use the other side when one side wears out. I never had a problem of slipping. No gluing for me.

Is there a way to postpone cleaning a ml?

I never heard of using beer to clean the bore. I guess it would work, though! Hot dogs, PBR, and muzzleloader. Hmmm.......

Is there a way to postpone cleaning a ml?

I'll be blunt. If you can't clean your smoke pole right away, don't bother shooting it. I have seen many ruined muzzleloaders because, "well, I don't ever clean my Glock" Black powder is extremely corrosive. Clean it by the end of the day. You'd be surprised on how quickly Windex cleans the...

    flintlock hawkin

Keep in mind that the mountain man era began right after percussion rifles were available. The Smithsonian has one full stock flintlock, but there are a few that will reject it as not legitimate, and was a conversion. I don't care, I like mine, and that's all that matters to me. Oh, yeah. I...
