Made a hike out of it.

Has anyone experiance with freezing So many berries have more than one name. . .it's easy to mix them up. . . I think, the other common name for Serviceberries is "June Berries" not "Elderberries" but there could be other berries also known as June berries

    Serviceberry

Has anyone experience with freezing Saskatoon serviceberries? I put out trail cams yesterday & We have a bumper Serviceberry crop where I bear hunt, I am thinking about running back up during the week and picking a few gallons for jelly. . . . but I'm working 12-14 hour days, so jelly making...

Serviceberries for those who have never seen them. This year, where I hunt, they are about as abundant as grass on a golf course. https://rumble.com/vklp8u-serviceberry.html

Except here when the Acorns are ripe the bears almost totally quit the berries. A Wild life Officer told me years ago it was like an electrical switch, one day every bear dropping would be full of Berry seeds and then the Acorns star to ripen and within a few days, there isn't berry seed one in...

Yes, year round water, though you can't get near it for the snow much of the winter. They expanded the trail for Mt. Bikers, and added those boulders to cross the creek last year( or maybe 2019 ) I've been going in there for years and years and always before the "Trail" was about 8" wide...

Made a hike out of it.

Well I set out some trail cams getting a start on Bear season, my son had the day off so we went together. Always a good thing. We made a hike of it and explored some areas we hadn't been before and some of my favorites we both like to see again and again. Here is a short Video of some of those...

SOLD Ruger Old Army Bicentennial marked unfired in box

I know this is off topic, but it looks like the pistol for sale is sold "pending" So I took the liberty knowing I am not interrupting an active sale. I have the Bicentennial/Colorado Centennial Ruger single six .22 unfired. . . .I think it's the only unfired Firearm I have. It was a gift...

    Minnie Ball Stuck 1861 Springfield

No. . .but what can you do? Don't have access seems well un investigated to me, I bet there are 6-7 air compressors on my block. (I'm not you, maybe you live 50 miles from everyone) But a 6 pack of beer would get me "Access" to my pick of these compressors. Maybe just ask a neighbor or two...

    SOLD Pedersoli Flintlock Kentucky Pistol

He means Pe"n"dersoli there is no "n" in there name. . . . I would have never noticed it with my poor spelling but people who CAN spell might. . . .and think it is not a true Davide Pedersoli Pistol.

    triple 7 powder 3f

I find no change when I use paper cartages Vs strait loading, one would think half a sheet of cigarette paper (thin as it is) would still lead to a change in compression, yet no change in point of aim I can detect. I'm guessing you are right, it's just a little unclear wording and some...

    triple 7 powder 3f

I think there is a lot of mixed information in this, most of the info I have seen centers around Triple Seven not liking to be over compressed. First off, It can't really be "10% hotter than most powders" now can it? In as much as FFFFg is Hotter than equal amounts by volume of FFFg which is...

In my Old Army I went with 30 grains of Triple Seven, seemed to work fine with ball or Conicals

    Little Adjustments

I think for me part of the fun is the struggle to learn. I'm not saying I'm a whiz but you shoot the same 30/06 for 25 or 30 years Same gun, scope, reload and there isn't much wonder left, My limits have been set in stone with that gun for years and years. Where as with this flint it still...

    Little Adjustments

It is amazingly hard to go from center fire to Flintlock (At least for me) Follow through is a learned skill, until I got this rifle (my 1st of now 2 flintlocks) I had no idea how bad my follow through really was. Herb here on the Forums built this rifle and told me at the time it wasn't heavy...

    Little Adjustments

Well boys I got to the range at the same time as the wind. . . .Typical!! Shot some, drifted some, shot some more and then filed. . . .carefully. Sure wish that one hadn't gone ah wandering to the right  but anyway, here is a look at the last few shots and the target. First Range...

    1st time using Paper Cartridges.

Isn't it fantastic that we come at it from such different directions, yet both end up here enjoying a discussion about paper cartridges 👍
