    Woodsrunner completed

I did NOT do the carving on this stock. A friend of mine, Mark Anderson, did it. He also installed the plate on the patch box. I have NO artistic ability. It is great to have friends that do for a project like this. I was fortunate enough to get one of the first 25 kits that Jim Kibler sent...

    Woodsrunner completed

I mentioned on another thread that I have my Woodsrunner completed. I received requests that I post some pics of my Woodsrunner so I hope I have figured out how to do this.

    Pedersoli Jäger or Kibler SMR

Kibler all the way if you have the extra money. I have a .45 SMR that is the same vintage as the one you are looking at. Great shooter!

    First Kit, Kibler Woodsrunner?

I have a Woodsrunner kit in .54 cal. I just completed it today and will be shooting it on Monday. I was lucky enough to be in the first shipment of this excellent kit. I do not know how to post pictures here. I had an artist friend of mine do the carving on the stock and he stained and...

    Woodsrunner arrived today

I received my Woods Runner on Saturday also. After reading your post about the number 5 on the bottom flat of the barrel I called Jim this morning. My barrel has #1 on it and on the parts bag that came in the kit. He said that the first 25 kits he put together " in the white" over a 3 day...

    Kibler SMR ordered

You will like the 45 SMR from Kibler's. I have one in 45 and one in 36, great guns, great kits. On Saturday I received my 54 cal. Woods Runner kit. Undoubtably the most complete kit Jim has put together. It came basically "in the white". The new SMR come a lot more completed than the ones I...

    FYI - New Kibler Kit

Bnewberry, I saw that post. I also got mine on Saturday. What a great kit for the price. It is basically "in the white". I saw where you are planning on scraping it. Not much sanding or scraping needs to be done. The metal also needs very little work. I took my gut to a friend who is...

    “Woods Runner”

Mine arrived on Saturday. Most complete kit I have ever seen. Basically a gun "in the white:. The wood to metal fit is superb and the only thing needed to do is put the barrel and lock into the stock and put the sights onto the barrel and the gun could be shot. The Kibler's shop has done...

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

Unboxed my new Kibler Woodsrunner Kit. It is basically a gun "in the white". Everything is fitted and assembled on the gun. And I should mention that everything is superbly fitted. The only thing you have to do is put the barrel and lock into the stock and put the sights on the barrel and the...

    Kibler Colonial Caliber Question

I have a Kibler Colonial in .54 that weighs 9lb. 6oz., and a Kibler SMR in .45 that weighs 6lb. 9oz. I like shooting both and both are accurate, but if I am doing any walking while hunting I take the SMR. I'll be 70 this year and it is a lot easier to carry. If I am going to sit on stand I...

    Which Kibler?

I have the Kibler SMR in both 45 and 36 cal. I like the 45 for trail walks over the 36 just because of the longer shots and some of the heavier knock down targets. I have also taken deer with it. The 36 is good for small game and paper shooting. Very economical to shoot, but so is the 45...

    Help with Kibler decision

I have 3 Kibler kits, one Colonial and 2 SMR's. The Colonial has an extra fancy stock, and both SMR's have fancy stocks. Jim's fancy stocks have more character and curl than most peoples extra fancy stocks. The extra fancy is really super. I would post pics but I do not know how to. I just...

How cold is too cold for you to shoot?

I went to two black powder shoots this weekend here in Western PA and the temp on Saturday morning was 2 degrees F, and on Sunday was 4 degrees F. Luckily there was little to no wind. It was surprisingly comfortable shooting when you dress for the weather. Most everyone enjoyed both shoots...

    Swiss ffg, my new favorite!

With that Kibler 40 you will still have to hit them in the head. If I don't hit them in the head with my Kibler 36 they get shot up sometimes more than a little.
