    WANTED Smoothbore flint pistol

So I was digging around the interwebs and came across this original on gunbroker. I think this style and size really speaks to me. If I’m unable to find something similar already built, maybe some of you with more experience could recommend a builder who could build me a pistol, doesn’t need to...

    WANTED Smoothbore flint pistol

Hi guys! On the hunt for a flintlock smoothbore pistol. Not really interested in Italian, Spanish, or Indian builds. Something built for the mid to late 1700’s style. Would like to stay in the $1000 range if possible. I seem to come across long guns for sale pretty regularly, but appropriately...

    SOLD L&R RPL percussion lock

So I acquired this lock in a trade for a bunch of goodies for a GPR. I don’t have any need for the lock since my rifle already has one 😁 It is new, the previous owner had disassembled it to polish the lock. He only started on the plate, so the rest of the lock would need to be finished. All the...

Looking for opinions & knowledge 😁

Hi Dave, Everything I’ve read so far seems to say 70-90 grains 3F is where I’ll find the sweet spot of hunting power and accuracy 👍 I’ve read of a few guys going to 100gr for hunting, but no accuracy info

    Howdy!

Hello to everyone, I’m Adam from Central Florida. I used to do a bunch of cap n’ ball revolver shooting, but nowadays I’ve been reading up on getting into rifle shooting and hopefully I want to hunt the next black powder deer season. Just from the reading I’ve been doing, I think a bunch of...

Looking for opinions & knowledge 😁

Hello all, long time lurker 😜 finally registered. I’m a long time cap n’ ball revolver shooter but I don’t have a lot of experience with black powder rifles. I recently purchased a percussion Lyman Great Plains rifle in .54 as I want to give the next black powder deer season a go. My rifle was...
