They taste very good when prepared as a stew or hare fricasee.

Looks like a good rabbit gun. Load it up with 30 grains of 2Fg and around 1/3 oz of #6. Don’t need much for ‘bits.

Thanks, gang. I am in talks with gunsmith Rod Olsen of Nebraska to have commissioned such a gun in caliber .38 with 6” barrel. It seems these really were a “do it all” and were revolutionary in the fact that the construction was drastically less costly than more traditional sidelock arms...

How does one short start the ball with one of these? It seems to lack the nub on standard starters? Doesn't look usable for those who cut at the muzzle?
