    Success with Dutch Shoultz method

I was thinking about buying so of the buckshot if I can catch it in stock. Has anyone weighed it to check consistency? I have had good luck in tightening my groups and keeping them in the round by swabbing between shots. Ferret Master

    Hello from Virginia

I did not hold the class. These video's are mostly made at Friendship Indiana at the NMLRA national range. Walter Cline Range I believe. The NMLRA has a number of videos on youtube and some on their website.

    A question of possible rust

Everyone has to do what they feel is in their best interest. I just have one question, what happens on a really hot day with all that grease and the oil it holds? YMMV

    A question of possible rust

It would seem to me that water would be much More damaging to the wood than the barrel. As for grease and oil the oil in the grease carrier will hold the water on the metal since oil will float on water. I use minwax tung oil on the inside of barrel channel then Johnson’s paste wax on top of...

    Small Game Handgun Hunting

My father in law had a funny encounter with a Red Fox one cold frosty morning in December. We had been on our deer hunting stands since about 5:30am and were about frozen stiff. He said the desire to be able to feel his feet had overwhelmed his desire to bag a buck. So he moved from his stand...

I got an offer from some one this morning to sell Crockett .32. When I tried to look at the pictures the whole message disappeared. I want to buy the pistol if you will try to contact me again. Thanks, Ferret Master

    Small Game Handgun Hunting

I've been looking for one of the .32 Crockett pistols. I borrowed one to hunt tree rats with a few years back and it was a hoot. Ferret Master

    Who Used Fowlers?

I love my French Tulle fusil-de-chasse in .62 I shoot both patched round ball and shot. However I have great interest in the smaller smooth bores 24 and 28. Has anyone used one of these smaller bores with shot? If so did you find them easier to obtain a uniform pattern with than the .62...

24 and 28 Ga Smothbore Performance

Would seem that back in the day the 28 and 24 Ga were the most used hunting smoothbores both for Settlers and Indians. Based on balls sold and Hunting guns delivered. I was wandering if anyone has built either a Trade Gun, Fowler or TULLE fusil-de-chasse in either of these gauges? If so how...

Can Anyone Tell Me What GRRW rifle I have? .45 Little Leman or Indian Trade Rifle

You might want to take a closer look at the area around the head of the lock bolt. From the pictures it look like the bolt has been drawn up tight enough to crack the wood. Easier to fix now than after it breaks all the way. Ferret Master

What to do when you're tall?

I like your pivot with the wing nut. I add .5” and 1” spacers to the butt stock as well. Ferret Master

What to do when you're tall?

You have to measure from the inside of the elbow to the inside of a bent finger. Same bend as pulling trigger.

What to do when you're tall?

Obviously there are a lot of folks who apparently have not had a custom rifle built for them. An easy and cheap way to get started is to get a pine board big enough to cut a stock blank out of, look for a lumber supply that sells rough cut lumber and use that to get your initial fitting...
