    Mountain rifle trigger help

So the sear bar is hitting the first trigger bar and binding the triggers when you try to set the rear trigger. I'll keep measuring but I don't see how to get the clearance I need without moving the lock, which would require a ton of work.

    Mountain rifle trigger help

I am building a CVA mountain rifle kit and I’m having trouble with the triggers. Out of the stock they operate as they should. When in the stock and shimmed to the point they are flush with the stock they will both set and fire with the lock not cocked. Once the lock is cocked the rear...

    CVA mountain rifle?

I have it almost together, the parts from Deer Creek fit but the quality is alot less than I expected. I need to find a different butt plate and adjust the triggers. Then I’ll break it in, tear it down and final finish it.

    CVA mountain rifle?

I found everything except the trigger set and the sights on Deercreek last night, I will check eBay for the rest of the parts. I should have it up and running within a week or two, and I’m pretty excited about that.

    Hello from Muscle Shoals, AL

Deer Creek had everything except the trigger assembly and the front and rear sight. I should be into this rifle for under $200!

    CVA mountain rifle?

There aren’t any markings or tool marks from someone removing them and the barrel is still packed with grease. I have a diagram so I’ll order up everything to get it going. I’m excited to take it out to the pasture and fight the armadillos.

    CVA mountain rifle?

I picked this up at an antique store the other day, it’s just the barrel the stock and the lock and it appears to be a CVA mountain rifle. There are no markings on the barrel anywhere and it’s still in the white, I’d like to narrow it down to see a possible date range of when it was produced as...

    Hello from Muscle Shoals, AL

Hello all, I'm a retired EOD Marine that runs a small farm and builds missiles for a living. I came across a Hawken? kit at an antique store for $50 and this has got me back into the blackpowder shooting past time, my other experience is a Cabelas 1858 Navy revolver and a 3" Parrot Cannon...
