    Range and Cleaning Rod suggestions...

I forgot to mention that I need the rods for smoothbores only. Sectioned cleaning rods always twist apart on me when I clean my modern rifles!

    Building yet another NW gun

I can't believe I have missed this whole thread! What's wrong with me? I just walked through all the pages and really enjoyed this process. Not too often do you get to see the stages of a gun built like this. Thanks Rob!

    Greetings from Wyoming!

I'm about 110 miles North East of Richey. My head bumps the Sask border and if I stretch my left arm out real wide it touches the ND border. I live on the edge of Daniels County by the town of Scobey. Not sure if you ever knew anybody up this high in the corner?

    Greetings from Wyoming!

Welcome from NE, Montana! I am building a Blacksmith shop right now, but am a very long way from ever forging fine gun parts!

    What's up with October Country?

First of all, to any who may think I made this post to smear a company, your wrong... I simply made this post to see from others if a longer wait is average, before I start to pester a business with phone calls. I do kind of regret posting about this before I called now, but what's done is...

    What's up with October Country?

I think your are correct on this... I failed to do the obvious before posting. I have a bad case of poster's remorse...

    Bulk lead source on line???

I got the best deal buying 1,000 lbs of 60 weight ingots, or I would have certainly gone with the 1 pounders. Probably will end up using a Sawzall, but will be sure to wear a mask in case of some airborne lead.

    What's up with October Country?

It's past 2 weeks now and my order has not showed up. I spose I should give them a call in the morning just to see if all is still good. I am a patient person and don't mind waiting, but I am just curious if this is there normal for them to be delayed this long?

    Bulk lead source on line???

That kinda worries me about throwing lead into the air. I realize most of the lead would fall as chips on the ground, but there must be some finer dust one cannot see going airborne as well? To be safe, I am kind of thinking about going back to the cold chisel and hammer. Then again, maybe I...

    Bulk lead source on line???

Well... even if you can't shoot much it still would be a good idea, in my opinion, to put away any kind of soft lead for when you might be able too. Lead is not going to get any cheaper, nor will it's availability get any better! Also, bullet/shot lead will always be in demand. To me...

    Bulk lead source on line???

20 some odd years ago I had bought a bunch of 5 lb cakes of plumber's lead from a hardware store going out of business. I remember wacking away with a hammer and cold chisel to get usable chunks to fit in my tiny ladle. These Roto Metal ingots average around 60 lbs or so... that will be...

    Bulk lead source on line???

Well guys, here's my situation... It would be free freight to the nearest truck terminal. They searched for everything under the sun that maybe closer to me, but the nearest truck hub that they can ship too for free is Glendive, MT to the South East (340 mi round trip). Since I live in the...

    Bulk lead source on line???

This is very true and I expect it to be that way. The only real benefit is that I know what the total will be before hand and not shocked when I hear an extra frieght charge!

    Bulk lead source on line???

That's what it says... I am thinking about ordering 1,000 lbs of 99.9% pure lead and 2,000 lbs of #5 magnum lead shot. I punched in all the info and it seems to be true, that the shipping for all 3,000 lbs to my location in NE Montana is free! I need to make sure however. I will call them...
