Might have been off on size earlier. When I touch off cannon with the reenactor, it seems louder than the 3f normally used. Regular charge is an old 35mm film can full.
Here is some Reenactor Powder that I bought at Log Cabin Shop couple of years ago. Went there a month ago and they said they don't carry any longer. I shoot this in a small cannon that my dad made. Guessing around 2f.
For Japanese beetles we use Milky Spore, powder you sprinkle on ground, after it takes hold it kills the grubs that produce beetles. Treated yard about 20 years ago and we might see 3 beetles a season. Kind of expensive but it does work and lasts for a long time.
Used govt. money on this one, first flint. Fired last weekend, I am hooked now. Yep, its a lefty, as am I. Don't know who put together but they did a fine job. I am possibly going to brown the barrel in future, especially after reading the threads.
I recently purchased a flint, I'm hooked. Shot it Saturday with fair success, I'm used to older cartridge guns so it was quite a change. Really glad younger folk are still interested in this type of shooting.
