    Heat is your friend but don't over do it also you may have to heat it and let it cool several times and plug the nipple and put the oil inside to soak a few days then try a good wrench Seems it will be 1/4 inch just be patient and try to tighten and loosen it a few times GOOD LUCK

    OK I received the gun today and the name is E. Windsor seem to be marked 11 gauge but measure between a 10 gauge and 11 gauge Birmingham proof between 1813 and 1855 does anybody know how to find this E. Windsor information I am having a little trouble finding anything about him

    Seems to me that if your were attacked by Indians you would not take the extra time to cut at the muzzle but also might not even take the time to use a patch after the first shot
