    The Curse Of The Sprue

I don’t bother with the sprue. I load sprue up and have never found a problem. Just me and my opinion.

    The Log Cabin Gun Shop

I live in England, but always try to get to the shop, when I’m in the USA. That probably tells you, how good I think it is!

    Too Pretty to shoot

A lovely piece of wood, but other than that, if I’m not mistaken, it’s a restocked Japanese Brown Bess repro, so it needs lots of shooting!

    Hatfield 50 Caliber Flintlock

I have an early Hatfield.50 flinter and love it. It’s a semi custom. The original owner contacted Ted Hatfield and chose wood, metal fittings etc, then it was shipped to him in England. I bought it from him in the mid 1980’s

I’ll check in with him soon. He moved I believe last year, to a different part of Warwick . Maybe he was not doing so much then, as I believe he intended to move to Hungary, but he now has shops here and there. Maybe he has a new carrier

    Dogs and frontloaders?

When I first visited the USA in 1989, I was introduced to a guy who was into hunting with muzzleloaders. He had a lovely black lab. Deer season was coming on, so he took me out back of his place where he was sighting in. The dog sat next to him, as he loaded. Very attentive and alert. When...

Help on building a wall gun

I don’t think Kranks have much in the way of parts for wall guns. The Rifle Shop, probably has what you need, but it may take some time to get from them. The only other possibility, is to find someone to make you a barrel. I prefer flint personality, but then, I prefer flint period.
