Took my angel on her first hunt. She shot two cull exotic does and this management buck. On the way back to the house she looks up at me and says " not much to this hunting thing is there dad?" Ain't it great. ET
I mix bag salt and bag minerals and pour on the ground. The deer and other game love it. Pick a spot that you do not care if anything ever grows again as it probably will not.
Be sure and wipe between shots and see if that effects the stringing. I had a rifle that would shot one ragged hole as long as I wiped between shots. As soon as I quit wiping between shots it would start vertical stringing. :m2c:
Is there a club or group that meets in Central Texas within 100 miles of Round Rock where I could see or shoulder some authentic flintlock rifles. I want to see how some of the different styles feel before I start looking for a custom. Thanks, ET
I have a Pedersoli with 14 inch barrels. I load one barrel with a patched .690 ball and the other with #1 buck. It makes a great gun for hunting feral hogs.
Has anyone built one of these. How difficult are they compared to a Lyman kit for instance. I know I would have to have some of the barrel work done. I really like the looks of the 36" barrel Classic Tennessee longrifle kit.
