I shoot about 15 or so rounds with No incident in my Flintlocks at the range. After each shot i blow down the barrel “ I know some people don’t want to hear that “ then I wipe my lock with a rag I have in my belt. When I load my patch is wet! I sometimes get squirted. lol

I’m I wrong in saying that once you use Wax on your Gunstock, an Oil rub will Not do anything for your Gunstock.?. Would the Wax prevent the Oil from getting to the wood.?.
