    TRS "Dream Book" Catalog

I got the new Rifle Shoppe Catalog last week and have enjoyed looking through it. I have a Hand Mortar made from their parts (took about 1 year to get the parts). Anyone order anything recently? Anyone seen the catalog? Thoughts?

    Boxlock? Got a good date?

Q: When do we see the Boxlock come into being in the gun development timeline? Kind of a two part question as I would imagine there is the "date" it was first developed, and then the time span that it saw widespread use. I have found "1730" http://armscollectors.com/gunhistorydates.htm...

    semantics/terminology queston... Early Flintlock

Here’s a question for anyone who cares to answer I often see flintlocks for sale that in their heading/title will say "early flintlock fowler" or Early Flintlock... or some such thing with "early" in the title. Inevitably, when I click on the link or details it will have some date like 1750s...

The effect of the "Indian Guns" on your Trade

I am/was in a discussion on another forum about the effect that influx of Indian guns has had on our domestic producers. Of course, there are a lot of assumptions being made (by both sides)but I thought I would come to "the source" to find out. Now, I am pretty sure that they "average guy"...

Assuming that TRS had EVERYTHING "in stock"...

The Rifle Shoppes catalog and online store are a wonderland of firearms. http://www.therifleshoppe.com/Catalog.htm We all know that they take forever to get stuff to you when ordered..... BUT If they had everything in stock that their catalog/online store lists, What would be the ONE thing...

Here is a question. Pedersoli makes a Queen Anne pistol kit... here is an example Most of the original Queen Annes in this style seem to be the turn off barrel type. Does anyone know if "they" made this style of pistol with a non-turn off barrel? And if they did, how about during the...

    Opinions on Early Dutch Smoothbore

I am interested in Golden Age of Piracy, and in late 17th Century Buccaneer (1650-1700) and am thinking about purchasing a flintlock smoothbore. I know a lot about clothes, but not much about proper weapons. What do you think about this one? There are more pictures here...
