    I meant to say the difference between a Smooth Rifle and Smoothbore was the rear sight on the Rifle

    The main difference is the rear sight. Most smoothbore matches will not allow a rear sight. The rear sight gives you an advantage at the longer ranges. Allthough, I have seen some people shoot a front sight only smoothbore as good as someone with a rear sight

    Hi FW, I bought the gun off of Ebay in 98 when they still sold guns. It's a Chambers built by a guy named G Alexander. He lives in northern Il. The add said it had a Getz barrel. It is 46 inches long. Some of the people I know that can shoot better than me use 42 inch barrels of different makes...

    Hi all, this is my first post. While working up a hunting load for my rifle this year I was able to get a three shot group of 3 1/2 inches at 100 yards. Shooting from improvised rest. My rifle is a Chambers Smooth Rifle in .54 cal. with a 46 inch barrel using a .530 ball and a 20 thousandth...
