    I recently acquired a Jaeger rifle made by someone whose initials are J. L. C. . Caliber is .62, and the gun was made in 1986. Does anyone have any idea who this maker might be?

    Copper canteen blu green oxidation inside

    Anything made of copper that you drink from should be tinned. Why would someone make a canteen out of copper without doing this? As someone said, brewer's wax would be an alternative.

    Me and my fellow shooters (who are mostly senior citizens) really like those benches on the range. Some of the guys need to sit and rest after 5 or 6 shots.

    The term "jaeger" (or Yager, Yaeger, etc.) had become so generic in America by the 20th century that they started using it to name fighter pilots.

    Small glass vials for holding powder charge

    I would suggest not buying glass. I bought a quantity of small plastic vials or "bottles" many years ago (I think it was the late 70s!) that are excellent for powder charges. I think they were designed for pills or medications, so you might check a local drug store. Mine are about 3 inches long...
