Hunting loads for my .58 black powder rifle

Idaho ron? He loves shooting long distances with hawkens and various pointy bullets with bp. Find his posts here and his utube channel as he has great ideas on how to hit longer distance. He "hot rods" his rifles if I recall and shoots out west. Sorry if I got the name incorrect but he knows...

Hunting loads for my .58 black powder rifle

Might consider switching from a RB to a REAL or some pointy thing. Will help extend the range and energy. Will thump your shoulder a bunch more from the added weight of the projectile but you do get more yardage and controlled accuracy as the range increases.

Kibler stocks OK for a lefty?

Nice looking rifle. Went to gun kits section on totw and do not see it listed any longer. Searched and only one kit came up as a lefty option. The way of the world these days. Lot of options no longer available to us since covid.

Kibler stocks OK for a lefty?

We know what it takes. He made us left handed, not incapable of thinking or comprehending the ways of the world. We live in a world that refuses to accept our existence and wants us to comply to their world. If we do not accept this will we are critized, talked to as if we are ignorant...

Kibler stocks OK for a lefty?

As I noted on the threads months ago about the time jim was coming out with the fowler folks were what is next? My bucket list item is to make my own rifle. I have tried twice but failed badly due to my two right thumbs. So a kibler being "easy" to assemble for a novice two right thumb person...

    Fire Concerns

I personally have not seen a smoldering cloth patch but have seen a smoldering paper cartridge. About a 12" little plume of white smoke and a bit of smell to it. It was on a gravel range so no concerns and nice to experience as a learning moment.

Kibler stocks OK for a lefty?

You are correct. As I have stated multiple times before in these types of threads and specifically about your decision, it is your business and I wish you well with it. I hope for all the success in the world for you as you are working very hard to create a shooter friendly product. It is...

Kibler stocks OK for a lefty?

Gee, chambers and l&r can make lefty locks and have for years. May be correct that we are 13% of the population but maybe we are 40% of the shooters. We are the ones right minded. We just use our left side more.

Do you have a muzzleloader with an inexplicable problem?

Tried that. They started hitting in a different spot. All it is doing is confusing me.

Do you have a muzzleloader with an inexplicable problem?

Of course. All my muzzleloaders though have one consistent problem. The roundball never hits where it was supposed to. I have no clue. It is all my muzzys. I know my aim is true but they just do not hit where I thought they should have.

    Sloppy rear sight….

Mine the screw goes all the way through to the barrel. Then it pushes on the barrel to tighten up the base.

    Loading from the pouch?

That is presuming their shoot rules will allow them.

    Just about fed up…

Yep, not much else to it. But it sure can be frustrating. I was using those reenactor cci musket caps because I could find em. Had to prime the nipple everytime to get enough flame to the main charge. Could have been partial blockage on the channel also but man frustrating. Went back to good...
