    Does anyone belong to or know of a Muzzleloading club near Helena, MT. I would like to get back into organized shoots and rendevous but I can't find anything in the state.

    striping a hawk handle

    I just took my propane torch and burned stripes or bands around the hawk. No tape or anything. It looked so go I decided to do my gunstock that way and it looks wicked cool.

    Thanks all. I will try for the .54. the dealers are notoriously cheap so they may not take the 7mm on the trade. If not oh well, still got three others to play with.

    That's what I was thinking. I also forgot to mention I also own an 1861 in .58 but don't use it much.

    Need some help here. I currently own a .32 and a .45 and I'm looking at a lyman in either .50 or .54. Which one would be better for all round shooting/hunting/rendevous? I will be trading my 7mm in for it.
