    My friend and I went to CO this year to hunt bears. We both got one. He was using a 50 cal Hawken and I was using a 54 cal Renegade. Both were taken with a single shot. I would say shot placement is key regardless of caliber.

    I have a Thompson Center Cherokee. The fly is a hair too short and does not consistently carry the hammer past half cock. I cannot find cherokee/seneca lock parts. Does anyone know if another fly will work? I already checked the TC Hawken, and it is way too big. Thanks

    Just last week I tried the maxi balls in my crockett. They shot just as well as round balls with the same powder charge. I was thinking about coyotes. I wanted to see if they shot well. I was happy with the results.
