    Hi Fellas, I have a percussion rifle built in Brookville PA by John Showalter sometime in the mid 1800's its been in my family forever and I'm trying to date it, there is a name on the lock, A.W.     Just passed up a Cabelas Hawken

    Hello Guys, My first smokepole wasa Cabelas 50 cal. Hawkins great gun!!! I have TC 50 cal Hawkins which is also a great gun, for the price I would go with the Cabelas for sure, right now I'm using a Pedersolli 50 cal PA long rifle (bought at Cabelas) which is by far my favorite!! :thumbsup:
