    s' mtn rifle

 HC/PC may be a matter of perspective, since kaintuck lists his location as the hills of tenn. and is being built now, it would seem to me to be HC/PC correct for his southern mt./tn. rifle would be pretty much any way he wants to build it.... :haha:

    Texas Sporting Rifle, circa. 2013

Being a lanky 6'4" I wanted the trigger pull to be about 15", however by the time I got the butt plate placed how I wanted it, it came out a little over 14 1/2" :haha: The lock spring is really stout and I think this causes the trigger to be a little harder to pull, but then again I can probably...

    Texas Sporting Rifle, circa. 2013

Thanks to all for being so kind. After my first attempt at building a long rifle came out like a chunky fence post :barf: , I have done a few keep busy projects like this while I try and grow eyes to really see what a long rifle should look like. I think I will try another long rifle build soon...

    Pecatoncia/Re-stock for T/C

I am presently putting one together with the Pecatonica stock, I started with just a NOS TC barrel and then gathered the parts I wanted to use....Like Zonie said it is not a straight drop in, I found the trigger and trigger guard in-let a little too deep and the barrel inlet too far back so be...

    Restoring TC Hawken .45

I bought a .54 Cal. TC Hawken last year for $125, spent less than $40 on a Birchwood Casey refinishing kit, sandpaper, and a metal polishing kit from Home Depot.... I don't think that $165 is in the really nice rifle price range. This rifle had been setting in a gun case for 8 years after...
