    New guy with a basic question.

    Any of you guys here forge your own carving tools? Also if you do how did you decide on the various blade shapes? I want to learn to do some carving but since I have no tools for that I see no reason not to just make em. I have some skill as a smith. Thanks in advance for any advise.

    I am from central Alabama. Lived here all my life, I've always wanted to build my self a long rifle but never had the nerve. You guys do amazing work. I am a steel worker for a living and have experience in smithing, leather work, and wood work. I think it's time to build.
