    I'd try to grab a 90 degree facing cutter from Brownell's and slowly trim the face of the barrel and frame until a new Pietta cylinder snugly fir in it (Pietta cylinders a tad longer as well as a lot cheaper)!

    Stuck nipples

    Doesn't require impact driver, sledgehammer, torque wrench, etc... Rosebud tip on acetylene torch and "Ted Cash"-style nipple wrench (whether bought or made, no difference). A little 'warming' from rosebud on face of cylinder (enough to make cyl. expand -) all it'll take!

Instead of leaving caps on a loaded cylinder (too dangerous,) you can leave the cylinder "loaded" but uncapped for long-term storage using these (the revolver seals linked are specifically designed for long-term storage).
