    Hawken owner -- again!

    My first BP rifle was/is a .50 cal. TC Hawkin that I built from a kit about 30 years ago. The rifle is very accurate with round balls and shooting home cast Maxi-Balls I've taken 15 Deer.

    Cleaning at the range

    For range use I like the CVA Barrel Blaster patches and follow up with a dry patch. I have an aluminum "range rod" with a jag tip that makes between shot swabs easier.
