    Don have the same mould(45&50)same era,your reads are correct.Mine(45)liked 80grs 2f a little more than 90 or 100,but staying inside a 3 in black should'nt be a issue.I think my Dad shot the same.Keep us posted.Try with out wiping 5-10 shots see what happens!

    Did you mic the TC max 370's are they pure lead a wood rod will give you a better feel they all seem to fall with a heavy rod.I don't wipe in a 5 shot group and they shoot nice and tight.the only reason I say to check the size I have seen them small they need to fit and be soft to upset'

    Don as stated how does the barrel feel with a prb in a clean barrel(use a wood rod it's light)then get the mices out, tc 370 505-506 top, middle &bottom 500.QC could be the issue, it wouldn't be the 1st time.Weight them, some store boughts were made harder than pure for shipping and some home...

    Yes the K is for kit it's stamped on the stock in the barrel channel also. I assume it was to keep after finish probems to ones self and not the companys.Like I said I herd it a few times, but didn't think it to be true,but mybe 1st line seconds.

    Starting my 1st post with my 1st dumb question. I have 2 tc kit guns (new)got them in 76 had heard later that they were kits because they were rejects after inletting true or not, never heard for sure.

    I got started in 75 with a 45 cal. CVA Kentucky in 76 added a TC 45 hawken then a 50 all flints.Thanks for letting come aboard.
