1st time out with a new Howdah Hunter

I would definitely recommend trying the Shotgun option, I've used 71/2 shot, a mix of 4 and 6 shot, BB's and 00 buck in my .69 cal 1816 and it's a lot of fun. I make my own Over powder / Over shot wads cut out from cardboard and they work great.

    Ball and patch size question

I have a similar Kentucky Rifle, .45cal and use a .440 round ball and .010 patch with 60 grains of powder and it is one sweet shooter! Very smooth and accurate!

    New Member from S.E. Mich

Another new member from Detroit area. I've been shooting BP for a few years now and absolutely love it! Have a few few different pieces, revolvers, pistol and rifles from .36 cal up to .69cal and love 'em all. I've learned a LOT over that last few years, and can't wait to learn more!
