    I've used birdshot in my Remington New Army revolver many times. I made wads with wax. Melted the wax in a pot, poured in the shot making sure it was uniformly distributed, then shut off the heat. After the wax hardened I cut out the wads with one of those metal do dads that are used to roll up...

    Thanks! Can't wait to try it out at the range. This type of musket was carried by my paternal 5th Great grand father who was a member of Karrer's and later Halwyll's Swiss Regiment in Canada and Louisiana. I started shooting blackpowder when I was 15,I'm now 51 and still love it.
