    Remington caps, gone?

    Just ordered 2000 No. 10 Remington caps from Cabela's. $79.99/1000, $16.95 S & H (to California) and $20 Hazardous Material Fee. They only listed #10s, no listing for #11. They should last me a while.

    Lock will go off half cocked.. baffled???

    I like the idea of shimming the trigger, especially if the lock won't hold at full cock. I had a similar issue on a percussion gun. I think it was a result of stock shrinkage over the years. Ended up taking a little off the top of the trigger bar.

    New from California

    Thanks. Southern Cal. Now living in Mountain Center, which is about halfway between Temecula Wine Country and Palm Springs. Fortunately, it's pretty much in the middle of the San Bernardino National Forest. Lots of Pine trees :wink: Grew up in the upper desert (Lancaster).
