    Got lucky in northern Michigan

    Congrats!!! I've killed 3 deer this year in Michigan with my .50 cal Flinter one complete pass through 80 yard shot and two stayed in 15 and 30 yard shots but had good blood trails with all. I did have an almost nill blood trail on a hog I shot in Georga this year with my .62 smoothbore...

    16 ga. Flinter (GG) jug choked. 60 gr. 3Fg Goex, overshot card, full lubed fiber wad, 1.25 oz. #6 shot, full lubed fiber wad. 39 yards!!!! Rolled him. I had yanked the first shot and these birds let me reload with them inside 25 yards!! What an adventure!!

    .62 cal smoothbore Flintlock ( Miss Elizabeth)70 gr. 3Fg Goex, .018 pillow ticking patch, .595 roundball. 25 - 30 yard shot through both shoulders, center heart, found just under skin of opposite shoulder. Roundball mis-shappend but not flat. 60 yard recovery.

    A little walk with Miss Elizabeth

    Spent a beautiful afternoon in the woods with Miss Elizabeth, looking for shed deer antlers. Didn't find any antlers but came accross a couple tasty critters! (Miss Elizabeth is my .62 cal. Smoothbore Flintlock)

    Plastic shot wads

    If I don't run the plastic wads the pattern is good! With this load the hole appears only with the plastic cup.
