    My Idaho elk hunt

Congrats on a successful hunt. I'm sure that you were exhausted after getting that cow out of the woods. Last year, I skinned my frozen buck and I can sympathize with how difficult the job is. All that work will make that delicious elk even taste better. Thanks for sharing.

DIY touch hole plug for cleaning

Personal Care Lubricant for Muzzleloaders-What do you think?

I know that there are as many patch lubes for muzzleloaders out there as there are members. Last night, I started thinking about if there was some form of water soluable patch lube that could be tried for use in muzzleloaders. I thought that it might make cleanup between shots easier that fat or...

Kalthoff 30-Shot Flintlock: The First Repeating Firearm Used in War (1659)

I watched the video last night on the Kalthoff. I'm still amazed at the engineering and construction of this hand-built rifle even by today's standards let alone in 1659. I want one!

Thanks Harry. I wanted it to look historically as close as possible.

    My First Ball Bag

I stitched the sides just up to the bottom of the spout. Trimmed away excess leather and then wrapped the simulated sinew.
