    Thompson Center Bought from S&W

Likely - Jim Kibler will offer a high quality Hawken kit within several years. I agree with most that the new T/C will cater to markets other than traditional muzzleloaders.

Kibler - New Product Available Tomorrow

Ok, thanks for your response and clarification. Has Jim put the extra cost in the ordering system yet ? I wonder if the carving is everything shown or can one choose a little less (?).

Kibler - New Product Available Tomorrow

I caught this the other day, but being an old guy - I'm a bit confused. Is the new product the displayed stock carving as an option or is Jim introducing a fowler (finally) ?

    What happened to Roundball?

I remember conversing with Roundball some years ago. I think his name is Bill (?). Yes, he knew T/C rifles as well as anyone.

    Early French Trading Posts, etc.

I'm amazed at the history of the French Voyagers who transported material goods through the Great Lakes, into the interior U.S. & Canada, and returning with fur to the east. Phenomenal how hard they worked and what they accomplished.

Is this a Southern Mountain rifle

No I don't. Awhile back my wife did some cleaning in the basement.....and she strayed into my area 😳🙄 My 3-4 TOTW catalogs and other things mysteriously disappeared. Should have practiced James 3, "slow to speak....." (that was a costly one).

Is this a Southern Mountain rifle

I had a TOTW catalog some time back that offered a parts set for a rifle similar to this. It was referenced as a Werner Ohio Rifle, early percussion.

Is Kibler a Sponsor of this site?

Hmmm... While I have the utmost respect and admiration for muzzleloading rifle builders, professional & amateur, I am not one of them and likely don't possess the patience or other qualities desired to build a fine muzzleloading flintlock. That being said, I have always preferred quality...

What kind of stuff do you all read?

Read a good book awhile back, titled "Six Frigates". Covers the original six frigates built for our fledgling navy.

    This is the way..

What kind of stuff do you all read?

For anyone interested in a non fiction (the real deal) true story of a B-17 tail gunner who survived a four mile fall in the severed tail of his bomber, the recently published book "Tailspin" is for you. Author : John Armbruster

    Finally ordered a Kibler Woodsrunner!

The shoulder movement and tension while sanding, even lightly, probably irritates your weakened muscles, etc. (?) Yep, hold off a bit longer, you'll be there soon enough. I've had both rotator cufs done and understand your present discomfort and frustration with behaving oneself to heal...

Would like to see some .45 woodsrunners

Nice looking rifle ! The weight is quite reasonable and should steady real nice if/when shooting offhand. The walnut makes a handsome combination. I've seen long ramrods here and there, won't they get charred a bit over time ?

    Another SMR arrived

Guessing a different caliber than your first SMR ?

Woodsrunner kit arrived today, kind of.

Guessing a regional center within 1.5 hours of Jim's location. I use this "model" as all mail around me (Eau Claire, WI) is routed through St Paul. MN, an hour and a half west of me. No where near as efficient as prior to this change awhile back.

    Goex Products

I'm kind of scratching my head how McDonalds got into this topic and thread. Maybe McD's will become a vendor, then we could pick up our BP in the "drive thru" 🤔😉😁

Would like to see some .45 woodsrunners

True enough. The point a few folks are making is a 45 cal will be noticeably heavier due to a heavier barrel (smaller bore in the same barrel profile).

Would like to see some .45 woodsrunners

A 45 would be the heaviest of the Woodsrunner rifles and would hold steady the best for off hand shooting ; targets, etc. Even though a 54 is quite tempting I've given one of these some thought.

    Goex Products

Makes sense, didn't realize they're still getting the production facility on line.

Any new Goex products showing up (2023) as suggested by Estes Industries ? Just wondering..
