    French caplock pistol...

Yes i kinda does, but I doubt that a little as the double barrelband is a little bit shorter and fastened with a screw. Also the lockplate looks a lot more modern (simple) then the one on model 1763/66's and the grip angle is more like the one on the AN IX pistols. Im starting to think that...

    French caplock pistol...

I have no idea :p but who knows... I made this thread to maybe get some information on the weapon and I have gotten plenty. Main reason for this is that im thinking about buying it as a weapon to shoot once in a while (but also to keep it as an "mini collecting" or atleast a start). Thats why...

Can anybody help me to identify this precussion pistol?

Thanks. if i decide to try getting it ill try to get the prize a bit down. I was also thinking that if i get it, that ill be trying to make it shoot safe, soo going to a gunsmith is no bad idea. Do you know about anybody who could make a new barrel for pistols like thees if its needed?

Can anybody help me to identify this precussion pistol?

Ok. No matter if its an original enfield production or a khyber pass gun, would you guys agree whit th price the seller is asking? He wants ca. 334 euros or ca. 397 US dollars (3500 NOK). Is this price too much for this gun or is it an ok price taking the age, possible origins (lets say its...

I dont know if you can make it our, but this marking (the only marking that i realy can find) seems to say something like "1859 enfield", but it could also be some other numbers.

Can anybody help me to identify this precussion pistol?

I cant say that i see any crown on the lock plate, but i belive the is a date marking and something else in front of the hammer. As for the octagonal barrel, i do not know it is there, but when i look on the internet most pictures of the 1859 enfield pistol does have a octagonal barrel. I...

Can anybody help me to identify this precussion pistol?

I got a picture of the side whit the lock plate now. And a freind of mine thinks it might be a Enfield cavalry pistol from around the 1860's The seller also told me that the lock works. Here is also a picture of a enfield 1859 cavalry pistol, taken strait from the internet.

Can anybody help me to identify this precussion pistol?

I shall contact the seller and ask him if he could send me some pictures of side whit the lock. I shall also try to get some other pictures. the seller is selling it and a lot of other antique stuff, so i guess he dint bother taking other pictures.
