Just ordered a .69cal bluderbuss. loads used?

Yep, for desert fun. Probably the most she'd do is blast a jack. I might have to get a bulk bag of #7 shot or something. I can't make that easily.

Just ordered a .69cal bluderbuss. loads used?

I think she'll love it. Last year she got a .357 GoldenBoy. We like the old stuff. 18th Century Pirate Blunderbuss - Black Powder Muzzleloader (anyone buy stuff from these guys?)

Just ordered a .69cal bluderbuss. loads used?

Niiice. Right on. Yeah, she is small but has no problem with .50cal. 30.30 or 12g. Makes sense about the bell and aiming for sure. Think we will stick to buck/glass/nails/rocks, etc. ha.

Just ordered a .69cal bluderbuss. loads used?

Just ordered my lady the "18th Century Blunderbuss" 69cal. for Christmas. I have lead and molds for 00buck (9 pellets). Then I'd assume to use about 80grains of RS. Some over powder wading and over shot wad. 3f for the pan. Probably ok there. I'd like her to be able to shoot a...

    Melting lead

True. But zink floats as with all the other junk. Higher melting point. All that is left is pure and soft after fluxing a couple times.

    Melting lead

I make all of my lead out of range scrap. I'm not sure the relevance to "patched" or "contact with the barrel" though. It's good lead, for whatever reason.

Lube for conical out of a rifle

lol. I figured man. When I first came to these forums last week, kinda made me think 'no way..... maybe... he did a BP video...' ha. Looks like I need to find a jag that's just slightly smaller than 50cal to do that trick. Thanks man.

    Melting lead

The lady and I had to go buy a turkey fryer for the amount we get in. I made a waste oil foundry for the copper and brass. Yeah after the big turkey pot, LEE for actually casting lead.

Lube for conical out of a rifle

I saw a dude on youtube that after they set, warm them up again just slightly. Then they drop out after lifting the whole pie out.

Yo! Thanks man. :D Ok, leaving for the mountains this Fri evening. Be up there for a couple days. Here is what I'm taking with me to see what gets me the best accuracy. Take your best guess. ha. TC Renegade Hunter 50cal single trigger. Barrel: 26” , 1:48 twist RS powder (it's just what I...

Help getting started. Molds and loads. TC 50cal.

Nice man, thanks. Yeah I've seen his vids for sure. He's up northern a bit. This is good info. Sounds good, I'll have to do some testing and see what works. And I guess people are lubing the bands because that helps in mitigating fouling or leading. From the sound of it, I can use...

Help getting started. Molds and loads. TC 50cal.

Awesome Thanks. How do you know when you need a wad or not? I now have the TC maxi mold and an improved mini mold. Do I not put a wad between the powder and bullet?

Lube for conical out of a rifle

Right on, thanks. So it's about filling the grooves, not just spraying on some lube. I saw one youtuber that got horrible results from filling both grooves on the maxi. Then he just filled the lower groove and accuracy went way up. I guess all guns are different though.

Lube for conical out of a rifle

Hey guys. I'm new. I got down the round ball and testing with that. Will practice and see what works best. I have maxi ball and mini ball molds on the way. What is the 'cheap guy' 'easy' way to do a conical? My understanding is - powder, a wad, then a lubed bullet. I'm not trying to win...

Well, took her out today for the first time. Holly shiz that's awesome! ha. Everyone loved it. Only issue we ran into... ended up putting a dry cleaning patch in after 10rds and it got stuck. Had to come home and use wd40 and a vice. lol. But... all good. 70g of RS and the 490 ball...
