    Rust in barrel

I thought I did a good job cleaning my barrel. I took a small light and looked down and saw a little rust in the grooves of the twist. What do I do to remove the rust, I already tried the brass brush?

    TRADITIONS DEERHUNTER ???

I have the exact same gun. I heated the cleanout screw with a torch and it came right out. I replaced it with a 5mm bolt, with a hex head. First take out the nipple, then screw the bolt in and when you put the nipple back in you will see it doesn't go all the way in, so get a nut to fit on...

    Clean out screw

Just got back from the hardware store, Traditions wanted $4.00 a piece plus shipping. I got 2 hex screws SS, cut them to size, works perfect. Now , all I need to take it out is a small wrench, no more stripping the slotted screw. Thanks again for everyones imput.

    Clean out screw

Just talked to the tech at Traditions in Conn., it is a clean out screw and with a little heat it came out easily. It is there for that purpose and he said that they have to heat them up to get them out

    RB's, conical, or sabot?

I have 2 Traditions, 1 buckskinner 50 cal with 1:20 twist and 1 deerhunter 50 cal with 1:48 twist. What works best in each of these?
  17. M

    traditions

Sorry, it is a 1:20 twist

I have the Buckskinner and I think it is 1:28 twist. It shoots fine and easy to carry in the woods.

    Traditions, what to use

Sorry, they are both 50 cal.
