    Smoothbore Buckshot Loads

    I recently bought a Pedersoli 1816 Percussion Conversion. I have found some info on the old military buckshot loads using 12 -.31 Cal roundballs with 100 grains of Black Powder. Is this a reasonable load or am I asking for trouble? Also, If I loose load buckshot... Can I go with 100grs BP...
