    Certainly is an intersting job. I've come to it later in life than most of my colleages after a good run of a bit of farming, fitter & turner, draughtsman, etc it's all come together now in this work!

    Yep I've seen a few things like this happen - and filmed for news TV! If you can, I'd suggest contacting them about it, it is something archaeologists are very open to because there is more joy in gaining knowledge than holding face. 99.99% archaeologists I'd say.

    Hi Widows Son, I'm an archaeologist working mostly in the colonial period, so my interests lie mostly in late 18th to early 19th centuries. I prefer flintlock musket in theory so far but haven't yet opportunity to explore other areas. ps. 'Widows Son' reminds me of a particular other interest...
