My limited experience with Schutzen 2F and 3F is that it was more dirty and smelly than both Goex and Swiss. It does group well enough so no concerns using it if that's all I can get. Yes. But no. Renegade is a 1-inch barrel channel in your stock. No "Renegade" barrel will fit a standard Hawken stock (15/16-inch). All Renegades are 1-inch barrels, .50, .54, .56, .58 cals. T/C #7194 tang mounted peep sight
Those images show adding two screws. On any side-lock, you use the lower tang screw in the bottom hole and drill and tap a hole below the upper/top tang screw. So your sight only requires you to drill ONE hole, not two.- Ditt44

Who Hunts Reg Seasons With Their Muzzleloader?
I think there is a deeper connection with a flintlock, much like hunting squirrels with a small-bore .32 cap lock. I think you find yourself listening more, being slower, paying more attention when you hunt with a 'lesser' weapon that can't lay a bullet into a quarter at 200 yards. You know...- Ditt44

To run Scotch Brite, I use wire brushes typically for cartridge rifles from .17 up to .30, depending on the ML caliber. The pad will compress a bit as will the brush depending on the brush make-up...brass vs steel and design, spikes or coiled/screw-like. Sizes generally run: .17 for .32 .22...- Ditt44

Built a Range Box..
Nicely done! I ended up repurposing a wheeled tool cart/box thing I got some 20 years ago. Works great for dragging my stuff to the shooting table. I can fit everything I could need provided I remember to load it :) LOTS of space for balls, powder, tools, target sheets, cleaning supplies...- Ditt44

One current listing is quoting $70 to ship. That is excessive for a TC. I buy/sell a fair number of TC MLs each year and I have never had to pay nearly that much. I buy boxes in bulk, 25 for $83 to my door. Rolls of bubble wrap, 700 feet for $11 to my door. If you are doing one-off sales... -

Anyone else's gun like a very tight load ?
I have a PA Hunter carbine that seems to be silly accurate with 70 grains of Swiss 3F and a .018 pillow ticking patch. I know this is about to be blasphemous but it has a QLA, and loads with steady pressure and you cannot argue with the accuracy. If I can hit a 4" steel plate every time at 50...- Ditt44

Second range day with my .36 at 25 yards. I'll likely say this a few more times over the coming weeks... but ^^^^^^^ what olskool said. I took my .36 Seneca out earlier this week and fired 20 rounds using a 25/75 Dawn-to-water mix. I squeezed out each patch then laid them on a sheet of paper and folded that over to press the patches...- Ditt44

WANTED Flintlock tools
I have used a larger/heavier paper clip for decades. It is wrapped around my pan charger lanyard. Works great. I've been watching a young buck this summer that has 3 or 4 inch white socks on all four feet and his inner leg white hair wraps outside onto his thighs. Nice looking deer all around. I've had at least one a year show a little extra but not excessive white, usually doe.
