How you fill your pan makes no difference ...

I've been shooting for over three decades and never thought about trying it upside down. Learn something new every day on here.

    A complaint about Tallpine’s blades

Somewhere is a gang of 14 year olds who ride mopeds that are gonna be really mad you disrespected their colors like this.

    Inquisitive Idiot

Sometimes it's best to just take it to a gunsmith.

Wow- not many of those around anymore. Any cannonballs included? Looks like it has the plunger. Some for sale on ebay, check the prices.

Why I would recommend someone not get into muzzleloading

This is why you tie 6 flintlock pistols to your sash pirate style. A lot easier than looking on the web for caps.

    Steel in India-made muskets- MH

These guns are as trustworthy as the originals were, probably more so.

Civil war guns from garage sale

Outstanding find but I'm sure I'm not alone in wondering about this "wife's girlfriend" situation. ;)

    Caps needed in Angola

Not uncommon among poachers in Africa. Lots of cobbled together muzzleloading guns. I saw one that uses strike anywhere matches held along the barrel with wax and when the hammer hits the matchhead the gun fires. I think it was in Backwoodsman magazine.

Do you display your flintlock or other guns in your home

I have two, both ugly wall hangers Dad bought years ago at a barn auction that a smith told him weren't reliable, more rust than metal. He bought them on a whim, they didn't cost very much. Everything else besides what I'm toting for the day is in a safe.

    CLOSED Cold Land Knives

It's the same imported stuff from Pakistan you can find all over. Call and get a catalog and find a kit from Jantz supply- at least you know it's reliable.

    WITHDRAWN Withdrawn

While I doubt that you're scamming for a measely $40, for future reference I believe the name and date on paper next to the item for sale is a rule here.

    Watch this space

So you "capped" the lock prior to loading the charge? Kinda scary. I wonder how many went off by accident?

    Revolutionary War muskets recovered

This. Any decent defense lawyer could have gotten him off with no punishment. Sounds to me like these two guys were collectors and just couldn't resist but now that they're older they decided it's time to make things right.

Just when you think you've seen it all

There's a point where things become works of art and this gun is past that point.
