Bought a pedersoli north west trade gun kit and finished putting it all together earlier. Its my first flintlock and introduction into blackpowder shooting. Im not a carpenter by trade so it was definitely a learning experience. I think it turned out pretty well for a first time build.

Hey yall does anyone know what the correct flint size i should buy for the pedersoli indian trade gun. Ive seen people say that 3/4 is good and that 7/8 is good. Would that be 3/4×7/8 or 7/8×1.

Thank you all for your input and tips I think I'll give the kit a try. Ive got some chisels and files on the way and the dremel will stay in the closet. If its just sanding it down to make it look nice and finishing the wood and metal then ill be able to do that. I'll let yall know how it turns...
