Anyone know where you can still find these in stock?

If you do that’d be great brother.

They’re the 1081 red label rws musket caps. The yellow label ones don’t hold up the same in mine and others experience. I believe the red label are like a magnum equivalent https://guntopia.hu/product/rws-4-wing-1081-musket-caps-pk-200/

    Shipping Blackpowder and caps?

Yup you’re totally right about the goats I misspoke. They’re just feral goats that live in the mountains there. There are also hogs but you do need a special permit to hunt those. I will probably just end up taking your advice for the powder and caps.

    Shipping Blackpowder and caps?

We’ve looked into guided hunts there before and it’s like $4,500 to shoot a buck of an extremely invasive species that does untold damage to local farms and the natural ecosystem there. It’s just too outrageous for us to pay for that.

    Shipping Blackpowder and caps?

It’s not like what you think. It’s all a diy hunt on some properties because we have connections with a taxidermist there. We’re using mopeds and sleeping in tents the whole time. Most expensive part of the whole trip is going to be the flight. We may rent some gear to tackle and spear fish...

    Shipping Blackpowder and caps?

I thought I might be able to save some money avoiding buying a full tin of caps and 1lb of black powder plus the hazmat fees for both. All just to use a couple speed loaders worth and have to leave the rest on the island.

    Shipping Blackpowder and caps?

I’m going on a hunting trip to Maui in late June and have decided to hunt with a muzzleloader partly because of their local laws and having to check my gun with local police. I wondering for those who have hunted internationally, how have you gotten your powder and caps to where you’re going...

    Vent hole plug?

Found these on Amazon I think the 1/16 or 1/32 word work perfect because of how they taper. My plan is to add a little lanyard to the fat end for easy removal and tying off to the trigger guard. I’ll let everyone know how it goes.

    Vent hole plug?

I think an added benefit of being able to seal the charge like this would be like how reliable a percussion lock can be if done correctly. I’ve hunted for two weeks straight in the coastal rainforest of Washington state with a percussion lock and it’s gone off every time I’ve pulled the trigger...

    Vent hole plug?

Is there such a thing as a vent hole plug? I’m looking for something to keep moisture from affecting the powder charge in humid climates while out and about so I don’t have to discharge the rifle at end of each day or have a hang fire/failure with heavy rain. I’ve used toothpicks and slivers of...

    Artificial fouling

Like a more effective bore seasoning that would actually prevent rust. I know there’s just bore butter and a million lubes but they don’t really tighten the group or give consistency to a cleaned barrel from my experience. There’s always that first shot after being cleaned that’s a whizzer. It...

Loading tip for 54 cal conical bullets?

The cleaning jag I use already somewhat works as a loading tip with its concave head to keep the head of bullets in a nice consistent aerodynamic shape instead of just mushrooming them but is there anything better? I personally use Lee REAL 380 grain 54 cal conicals.

    Artificial fouling

Any thoughts on creating a so called “artificial fouling” that wouldn’t cause corrosion when using in the field like a traditional fouling shot would. I’ve done some experimenting of my own with limited results but then again I get very little time to shoot and actually test for myself.
