I need help identifying the maker's mark on my TOW powder horn

The horn artist's name is Lance Gulden from Pennsylvania. He has other work at www.powderhornsandmore.com, run by a really nice fellow named Gerry Messmer. Ain't Lance's work just beautiful. I've now purchased two and I always keep my eyes peeled for the next one!

    Whom Used a Frizzen Stall?

I use hammer stalls, perhaps if my smoke-poles had a cross bolt safety I'd rethink my position. Half cock doesn't do it for me. I like to send lead down range on MY schedule not the guns. (Guns, they can be hard to train and some are just real stubborn.)

Set trigger on Pedersoli 1859 Sharps

I purchased a used Pedersoli Sharps with set trigger. The set trigger has always been a bit tough to set but the resulting trigger pull awesome! I got the rifle out the other day and discovered that I could not pull the set trigger enough to set the front one. The gun is spanking clean. The gun...

Welcome! I live in Georgetown, (Sagadahoc County). Coffee pot is usually on and the welcome mat is always out. I lived for a short time in York, beautiful town. Is Floe's hot dogs still in open? "Best dogs on Route 1!"

    Ice Box

I also have a GE refrigerator of the same vintage. It came with my house when I bought it. Except for power outages, it has never stopped running and works like a charm. I can not say the same about the big stainless steel monster in the kitchen now.

    Lead could dissolve a marriage

I was a hermit with my dog on an island (without any neighbors for 9 months a year) for close to thirty years. I had my boats, house, barn, shop and guns right where and how I liked them. Then I got married, WOW! What a transition... for both of us. I guess I'll keep her (of course, I can't...

    How old are ya?

Like the song says, "I was born 100,000 years ago and there ain't nothin' in this world that I don't know". Well, at times I feel that way and "The War Department" is always reminding me that the last part is completely incorrect also. My dad said that my first 2 words were, "GUN!" and "MINE!"...

Is this functional model cannon a 6 Pounder??

She is certainly a work of both love and art. May I ask a crass question? How much did you have to spend to get it.

Thoughts and/or identification of this percussion (fowler?), please.

I am familiar with Ethan Allen in the Revolutionary War and I am familiar with Ethan Allen furniture stores but I have never heard of Ethan Allen firearms. Could you enlighten me? Was Ethan Allen, the firearms maker a son of Ethan Allen of the Green Mountain Boys? Wow! I now find myself going...
